When enjoying the great outdoors please don’t litter.
A good saying to go by is; “Take only photographs, leave only footprints.”
It’s important to conserve the beauty of the natural world by not littering. It’s not only important aesthetically but also practically. Litter often makes its way into food chains which often kills animals that mistake the rubbish for food. e.g. plastics eaten by marine life who are then eaten by birds.
It’s also very important to not disturb the natural habitat by being destructive to it. Keep to paths when walking trails, don’t take things away from where they belong e.g. if everyone visiting a reef took a piece of coral away with them, the reef would be decimated.
If walking in a natural park don’t throw disused fruit seeds into the bush where they are not native to grow e.g. an apple core. Instead put it in your own rubbish bag and carry it back out.
Sometimes when people are enjoying themselves outdoors they’ll mix the experience with drinking alcohol and their sense of responsibility becomes diminished. So if you find yourself in this position, don’t think it’s okay because you’re drunk to litter. Make the effort to remember this & refrain yourself from throwing that cigarette butt in the water for example, or that empty beer bottle.
When you’re out enjoying the beautiful outdoors, please remember to – “Take Only Photographs & Leave Only Footprints”.
This allows everyone to enjoy the experience of the beauty of nature & it also allows the nature itself to live their natural habitat.
