The Education Community covers schools, universities, colleges, and the like.
This is a very important community as lessons learnt by the students in these early stages of life, for the most part, have a strong chance of carrying over into being habitual practice for the rest of their lives. Children & students at university, college, etc; are also great communicators in bringing what they’ve learnt back into their home environment to their family & friends, and spreading the knowledge out around them. This knowledge permeates out from the education community into the broader community thus affecting change.
Education institutions must be encouraged to take on environmental practices in the running of their operations. If your education institution is not implementing environmental practices then lobby it to do so.
It is also very important that the most current environmentally sustainable information be taught in courses that have to do with environmental sciences. Always seek & keep abreast of advances in environmental sustainability related innovation.
If you’re not in the Education Community and are interested in learning about environmentally sustainable issues then seek to get into it. There are many different types of courses that one can do & they’re not all hosted by traditional education providers such as universities & colleges etc. Environmental organizations also quite often hold courses. If you look with purpose you’ll find something that you’re interested in.
